Thoughts

My deepest sympathy Sis. Berg Berg and Family of our dearly beloved Bro. Eugene Boyd Berg. He was a kind, loving person always willing to help others. A friend of God and of man. Whenever I needed to get to the hospital, all I had to say was I am not breathing well, and he would drive me there matter how early the morning or late the night. Where ever he went the planted seeds of kindness into those he came in contact with. Bro Berg has a zeal for serving God and would share his love for Jesus with folks he met on the street. Giving out tracts was something he did often. "Blessed are the dead who died in the Lord. That they may rest from their labours and works do follow them. Revelation 14:13 Sincerely, Milrose Mack Snellville, GA

Pastor: I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Brother Berg. He was very kind to me in my early days as a young Pastor there at City Church. Additionally, he was a stalwart member there. I know that he will be greatly missed, both as a person as a member. You and your sister ( I suppose you have other siblings, but it is you and your sister that my middle-aged memory can recall) have been given a great legacy-your parents and your grandmother, who I still remember as quoting every text along with me as I was preaching-all made wonderful contributions to the cause of God. You and Laura are continuing that legacy. May the same Holy Spirit who has used you to comfort others in their loss comfort you in yours. We shall see Brother Berg again ! Blessings, Elder D.C. To My Extended Family, the Bergs and to all friends and family... The fond memories of your Dad, and whom my father referred to as his brother "Boysie", will always remain a part of the thread that make up the fabric of my being. I reflect on his gentle, encouraging reminders to be "faithful" and to get to know "Christ" as my personal Savior. It was advice, such as what he shared with me as child well into my adulthood, that continues to resonate in my thoughts. It is these very words I pray we as his family continue to hold near and dear to our hearts; for they are words of truth and speak of the assurance of our faith in Christ. We were blessed, as a family, to have had his leadership and learn from his demonstrated compassion. So, I leave with you these words of encouragement: While death does make our hearts ache, it is a pain that time can heal. However, our victory over death, can only come through Christ by whose Spirit we are sealed. Do you have the assurance of your salvation today? If not, I implore you to stop right now and pray. Bow your head, or just simply close your eyes where you are and say, "Dear Lord God Jehovah come into my heart and take control over my life. These were the words shared by "Boysie", whom God himself predestined to come by this way. Blessings and Peace to all..
